Chair (Dr Matthew Davies)
Matthew Davies is the Divisional Technical Advisor at Killgerm Chemicals Ltd, the Technical Editor for Pest Control News and holds a PhD from Aston University. He studied for a Bsc (Hons) in Biology (with a year in industry at the Food and Environment Research Agency), at the University of York. At Killgerm, Matthew advises on all aspects of public health pest control, particularly entomology and provides pest control training, product testing, insect identification, pest control audits and technical literature. His recently completed research was on the isolation and characterization of bacteria associated with flying insects in health care facilities.
Matthew is also able to call on the experience of Professor Moray Anderson, Consultant Entomologist at Killgerm Chemicals, who was the Chair of the 1996 ICIPUE conference.

(Edoardo Guerra, International Sales Manager, PestWest Electronics Ltd)
Edoardo Guerra is the international Sales Manager for PestWest Electronics Ltd. He is responsible for the majority of the Mediterranean area that PestWest supply to, working mainly across Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece. Edoardos’s abilities were developed during work experience in both the industrial and fashion industry and the studies he completed at Carlo Bo University in Urbino Italy. His studies were in ‘Foreign Languages and Literatures’, specializing in business economics. His ability to speak Italian, English and Spanish fluently has allowed him to work with businesses successfully across Europe.
(Dr Carolin Pfeiffer & Dr Harald Faenger, Technical Consultants / biologists, Killgerm Germany)
Dr Carolin Pfeiffer is a Technical Advisor at Killgerm GmbH since 2013. After her vocational training as Biological Technical Assistant, she studied for a diploma in Biology at the Heinrich Heine University of Düsseldorf. Later she got her PhD at the Institute for Pharmacology at the University Hospital of Cologne.
At Killgerm, Carolin advices German-speaking customers (DE, AT, CH) on technical and legal aspects (e.g. risk mitigation measures) of pest control. Further, she performs insect identification, pest control training and pest control inspections. She also authored a number of scientific articles in Pest Control News. Last but not least, she is responsible for biocide authorisation in Switzerland and assists suppliers in communication with German approval agency, especially regarding EU biocides regulation.
Harald Fänger, a certified pest controller since 2004, is the senior Technical Advisor at Killgerm GmbH and the Technical Editor for Pest Control News in Germany. He studied biology/entomology at the University of Bielefeld and finally got his PhD at the University of Bonn. Working at Killgerm since 2003, Harald advises customers in Germany, Switzerland and Austria on all aspects of urban pest control and provides pest control training for professional users, arthropod identification, as well as pest control audits/inspections, mainly for the food and packaging industry. He is also responsible for keeping material safety data sheets and product labels up-to-date. Harald was already involved in the scientific organisation the ICUP 2014 conference in Zurich, Switzerland.
(Vikki Harling, Killgerm Chemicals)
Vikki Harling has worked for Killgerm Group since 1995. Starting as an office junior she completed an apprenticeship in 1998 and progressed after this into the accounts team. Since then she has worked her way through from Ledger Clerk to Assistant Management Accountant, also qualifying as an Accounting Technician in February 2011. She is now studying towards the ACCA professional qualification. Vikki prepares the management accounts for four of the group companies, assists with annual budget production, as well as sales reporting to various directors around the group. She also oversees the credit control function in the UK along with liaising with the sister companies overseas with their credit control. During 2011 Vikki assisted with accounting for the EPCA conference and has helped out with the finances for various projects that the group has been involved in.

Stuart Mitchell is an observing physician, consulting clinical psychologist, Board Certified in Family Medicine, Board Certified and a Lifetime Fellow of Integrative Medicine, Diplomat and Certified; American Psychotherapy Association, Fellow of the American Institute of Healthcare Professionals, Fellow of the American Board of Forensic Examiners, and a Certified Medical Investigator. In addition, an entomologist, Board Certified in Medical, Veterinary, Urban and Industrial. He serves the pest management, public health, and environmental health industries specializing with employee wellness programs. He is also as a consultant, expert-witness, author, and lecturer. Currently he serves as Principal Technical Specialist for PestWest USA, Technical Editor for Pest Management Professional Magazine, Primary Expert Witness for Lipman Law Firm, and Expert Associate of LIPCA Insurance.

(Dr Matt Green, Entomologist, Rentokil)
Matt Green is the Entomologist for the Innovation Group at Rentokil-Initial PLC providing expert support for over sixty businesses worldwide and conducting new research. He has a PhD from Brunel University exploring the ecology and behaviour of a New Zealand wood-boring pest weevil, a Masters degree in Applied Entomology from Imperial College, London, and a degree Biology from Royal Holloway College, London. Prior to working for Rentokil he worked as a specialist surveyor in wood degrading organisms for an international consultancy and as a property surveyor for ECOLAB. He still lectures in wood-boring insect biology for building preservation students, or if otherwise provoked. Matt has worked extensively in the UK and in Ireland, Morocco, the USA and Saudi Arabia on timber decay and urban pest control problems. This will be Matt’s fourth ICUP conference, having presented papers at Charleston, South Carolina in 2002 (wood-boring insect flight behaviour); Ouro Preto, Brazil in 2011 (electronic fly trap design), and attended the last conference in Zurich.
(Sabra Everett, Marketing Director, Albatross Marketing / Killgerm)
Sabra Everett is the Marketing and Public Affairs Director at Killgerm Group, has worked within the pest control industry for 22 years and is a recognised figure throughout Europe and America. She sits on the National Pest Advisory Panel (advisors to the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health on all aspects of pest management), is a director of the National Pest Technicians Association and was founder member of Professional Women In Pest Management in the UK. She has helped lead and organise a number of conferences throughout Europe. These include the European Society for Vector Ecology conference in Cambridge 2008, the International Public Health Pesticide Workshop in London 2009 and the launch of the World Health Organisation book ‘Public Health Significance of Urban Pests’ in UK Parliament and at The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
